Our Story

More than 20 years ago, I traveled to the African continent for the first time. I was thrilled to be in the Motherland ~~ the birthplace of civilization, a place I had heard so much about as a child.  Immediately, I was struck by the beauty of the land of my ancestors, and impressed by the creativity, ingenuity, and passion of the African people. During my trips to this wondrous continent, I have come across some amazing finds; and now, I'd like to share them with you through this exciting cyber venture. 

KATROCENTRIC is an online boutique, specializing in fine, handcrafted jewelry + accessories for men and for women. KATROCENTRIC collaborates with and supports artisans from West Africa to bring you the highest quality necklaces, bracelets, and other fashion accessories in rich, bold, vibrant colors and exquisite designs. The artisans use techniques that are centuries-old to handcraft these beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Equally important, these handcrafted items are made of glass and other natural, eco-friendly materials found in the Earth.  As a result, the pieces are recyclable and sustainable!
